This starter boilerplate for WP themes provides a pre-configured development environment using Gulp, Tailwind CSS, rollup.js, Alpine.js, and Highway.js. It is designed for developers who want a modern, efficient workflow without setting up each tool from scratch.

• Gulp build pipeline: Automates SCSS compilation, script bundling, image optimization, and SVG sprite generation. BrowserSync is included for automatic browser reload when PHP, JS, or asset files change.
• Tailwind CSS utility framework: Write styles quickly with atomic classes. Custom SCSS can be added for unique requirements. PurgeCSS removes unused styles in staging and production builds to keep CSS small.
• rollup.js module bundler: Bundles JavaScript files with ES module support, linting via ESLint, and minification. Includes Alpine.js for declarative DOM manipulation and Highway.js for smooth page transitions.
• Asset optimization: Images placed in assets/src/images are optimized and output to assets/dist/images. SVG files are combined into a sprite. Other assets (fonts, videos) are copied automatically.
• WordPress-specific setup: Includes base template files, optimized theme configuration, and recommended integration with Advanced Custom Fields PRO. Custom fields and option pages can be imported from a JSON file.
