CAES Field Report 2025

The CAES Office of Information Technology delivers technical support services specifically for the faculty, staff, and researchers within a university's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and its statewide Cooperative Extension network. This internal IT department is the primary resource for solving technology issues and enabling the educational and research missions of these organizations.

• Dedicated Campus Support Teams: Provides on-site and remote technical assistance for device setup, software troubleshooting, hardware issues, and printing across the Athens, Griffin, and Tifton campuses.
• Statewide Extension Support: Offers specialized IT support for county extension offices and remote Research and Education Centers, ensuring technology functions for outreach programs.
• Web and Digital Program Assistance: Helps manage and support college and extension websites, along with the digital delivery methods for public-facing educational programs.
• Collaborative Service Partnerships: Works closely with central university IT services and other specialized units like marketing and 4-H to provide a comprehensive support network for all technology needs.
