Fictioneer Email Notifications

This plugin adds email notification capabilities to the Fictioneer theme, letting you keep your audience informed about new content without relying on third-party platforms. Designed for site owners who want direct control over their subscriber communications, it allows guests and registered users to subscribe to updates on specific stories, taxonomies, or all new content. Notifications are aggregated into a single email per subscriber to reduce clutter and spam risk.

• Flexible subscription scopes: Users can subscribe to all content, specific post types, or individual stories and taxonomies, giving them control over what they receive.
• Frontend integration: Subscription options appear in the subscribe popup, user menu, and mobile menu. A shortcode [fictioneer_email_subscription] can be placed anywhere for quick access.
• Admin management: The plugin adds a Notifications menu where you can view enqueued items, send emails manually via Fetch API, manage subscribers, and customize email templates with tokens.
• Spam prevention: Subscriptions require email confirmation within 24 hours, and unconfirmed entries are deleted. You can exclude specific emails or authors from receiving notifications.
• Cache friendly: Works with all caching plugins and processes the queue without exceeding MailerSend's API rate limits.

The plugin uses MailerSend for email delivery, which offers a free tier of 3,000 emails per month. It does not send emails automatically; you trigger sending from the admin panel, giving you full control over timing and volume.
