This plugin connects a GitHub repository to a content management system, allowing markdown files stored there to be published directly as posts. It is designed for developers, technical writers, and teams who want to manage website content using Git workflows and collaborate on writing in markdown.

Repository Synchronization: The plugin pulls markdown files from a configured GitHub repository. When files are added or updated in the repository, the corresponding posts on the site are created or updated automatically, keeping content in sync.

Webhook Automation: Supports setting up a GitHub webhook. This triggers the plugin to pull the latest changes and update posts whenever the repository is pushed to, enabling a fully automated publishing pipeline.

Hierarchical Post Structure: Maintains the folder structure from the repository. Files in nested directories are published as hierarchical posts, mirroring the organization of the source files, provided the post type supports this feature.

Inline Asset Handling: Images referenced within the markdown files are uploaded to the site's media library. The plugin processes relative links and embeds local images from a designated folder in the repository.

Post Metadata Control: Allows setting post properties like status, title, categories, tags, and custom fields directly within the markdown source file using front matter, giving precise control over how content is published.
