Haste Starter

Haste Starter provides a structured foundation for developers building custom themes. It is designed for those who want to skip repetitive setup and focus on unique functionality.

• Scaffold and Templates: Includes base theme templates, a default theme.json, theme supports, and cleanup hooks to remove unnecessary default behaviors.
• Bootstrap 5 Integration: Comes with the Bootstrap 5 framework pre-configured. It is optional, so you can remove it if your project uses a different approach.
• Laravel Mix for Asset Management: Handles CSS and JavaScript compilation through Laravel Mix, abstracting Webpack configuration. You can manage builds without deep Webpack knowledge.
• Helper Functions and Template Tags: Provides ready-to-use functions for common tasks like breadcrumbs, post meta display, and related posts. These reduce the amount of custom code needed.
• Coding Standards: Ships with EditorConfig and PHPCS configuration files aligned with WordPress Coding Standards, helping maintain consistent code quality across teams.

The project is a fork of an earlier community starter and is actively maintained on GitHub. It supports translation readiness and includes a changelog for tracking updates.
