Helper Lite for PageSpeed

Helper Lite for PageSpeed helps site owners improve Google PageSpeed Insights scores by adding performance-enhancing attributes to images and iframes. It works on any site using <img> and <iframe> tags, including custom images in headers and footers that default lazy loading misses.

• Lazy loading for images and iframes: Automatically adds loading="lazy" and decoding="async" to all <img> and <iframe> elements, reducing initial page weight and speeding up load times by 0.1-0.2 seconds.
• Passive listener fix: Includes a script that removes the "Does not use passive listeners" remark from PageSpeed Insights, improving scrolling performance scores.
• Flexible attribute control: Choose between two methods (Filters or Buffer) to apply attributes, and customize attribute values or disable them entirely per your needs.
• Skip individual images: Add the skip-lazy class to any image to exclude it from lazy loading, maintaining control over critical visuals.
• LQIP support: Optionally enable Low Quality Image Placeholders for the first image on a page, reducing Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) on mobile and desktop.

The plugin works out of the box with no configuration, but offers settings under 'WP Booster > PageSpeed Helper' for advanced users. Regular updates ensure compatibility with the latest system versions.
