Julep

Julep is a bare-bones starter theme for WordPress that uses Bourbon and Neat for lightweight, flexible styling. It is designed for developers who need a minimal, modern foundation with integrated build tools and a clean codebase. The theme follows BEM naming for CSS and includes Gulp for task automation, making it easy to compile Sass and JavaScript while keeping the output fast and maintainable.

• Bourbon & Neat mixins: These Sass libraries provide reusable components and a responsive grid, reducing repetitive code and keeping stylesheets lean.
• Gulp build system: Automates SCSS and JS compilation, BrowserSync live reloading, and asset minification. Just run the default gulp task to start development.
• BEM-classed CSS: Every component follows Block Element Modifier naming, making styles predictable and scalable for larger projects.
• Browserify JavaScript: Modularize your scripts by adding files in assets/js/inc/ and requiring them in app.js. The theme automatically enqueues the correct file based on WP_DEBUG.
• Admin dashboard customization: Easily update the welcome panel and add company contact info via admin/init.php, tailoring the backend for clients.

Note: This theme is a work in progress and was inspired by Some Like it Neat. It requires Node, Sass, and Bower for setup.
