WPMU DEV has retired a number of legacy plugins from its repository, shifting focus to newer services. These legacy plugins were retired due to low usage and high maintenance costs. By open-sourcing them, WPMU DEV allows users to keep using valuable tools while the company invests resources in new offerings.
