Schedule Terms

Schedule Terms is a plugin for site owners who need to automatically manage category and tag assignments for posts based on time. It eliminates the need to manually add or remove terms when content should appear or disappear from specific sections of a site. This is useful for time-limited promotions, seasonal content, or any scenario where posts need to be categorized temporarily.

• Automatic term scheduling: Set a start and end time for each term assignment. The plugin adds the term when the start time arrives and removes it when the end time passes, with no manual intervention.
• Works with categories, tags, and custom taxonomies: Enable scheduling on any taxonomy management screen by checking the "Use scheduling" checkbox. The feature then becomes available for all posts using that taxonomy.
• Per-post control: Each post has its own "Schedule Terms" panel in the editor, where you can set the exact datetime for adding or removing each term. This gives granular control over individual content items.
• Simple activation: No complex configuration. After enabling scheduling for a taxonomy, the datetime picker appears in the post editor, making it straightforward to set up.
• Reset option: A reset button is included to clear scheduled assignments if needed, providing flexibility to change plans.
