Smart Image Upload Resizer is a lightweight plugin for site owners who need to control image sizes without manual editing. It automatically reduces dimensions and compresses quality when users upload images, supporting JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP formats.

• Automatic resizing on upload: Images are scaled down to your specified maximum width and height (up to 2560 pixels) as soon as they are uploaded, with aspect ratio maintained.
• Adjustable quality and compression: Set image quality from 1% to 100% (default 80%) to balance file size and visual clarity. Higher values like 85% preserve more detail.
• WebP format support: Works with the official advanced image format plugin to convert uploads to WebP, further reducing file sizes.
• Optimized for low-spec hosting: Memory-efficient design ensures stable operation on shared or older cloud hosting environments.
• Simple configuration: After activation, go to Settings > Smart Image Upload Resizer Settings to set your preferred dimensions and quality. No complex setup required.

The plugin only processes new uploads, leaving existing images unchanged. It is ideal for sites that need to limit storage usage, speed up page loading, or enforce consistent image dimensions across all uploads.
