The Paste

This plugin allows users to add media to their site by pasting directly from the clipboard, removing the need to manually save and upload files. It is designed for content creators, designers, and administrators who frequently add images and documents from various applications.

• Clipboard to Media Library: Paste image data or files directly into the media library interface or the classic editor. This bypasses the standard file dialog, saving several steps in the upload process.
• Broad Application Support: Accepts pasted content from many common sources, including macOS Finder, Windows Explorer, screenshot tools, Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, LibreOffice, Google Docs, and design tools like Figma and Affinity Designer.
• File Format Handling: Supports pasting SVG data (requires a separate SVG support plugin) and can convert pasted images to the WebP format for performance in most supported browsers.
• User Control: Includes settings to adjust default image quality, configure filename patterns using placeholders, and toggle pasting behavior in the editor toolbar to fit different workflows.
• Multi-File Pasting: Allows pasting multiple files at once from the operating system's file explorer in most modern browsers, though Firefox has a known limitation for this specific action.
