This walker class formats menus generated by your site's menu manager to output Bootstrap 4+ compliant HTML. It supports dropdowns, icons, disabled links, and more.

  • Bootstrap 4/5 Compatibility: Automatically applies correct classes for navbar, dropdowns, and toggles, including support for namespaced data attributes in Bootstrap 5.
  • Built-in Menu Manager Integration: Works with your existing menu interface – add, remove, or reorder items without writing custom code.
  • Icon and Link Modifiers: Add Glyphicons, Font Awesome, or custom classes via the CSS Classes field. For icon-only items, use the sr-only class to hide text.
  • Custom Item Types: Create dropdown headers, dividers, and text-only items by adding dropdown-header, dropdown-divider, or dropdown-item-text to a link's CSS Classes.
  • Developer Friendly: Simple installation by including the class file and adding a walker argument to wp_nav_menu(). The walker also supports caching for large menus.
