WP SAML Auth

This plugin adds SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) capabilities to a site, allowing users to authenticate with an external identity provider. It is designed for organizations that need to integrate their existing user directory, such as Google Workspace, Okta, or Azure AD, with their site's login system.

Connection Types: Supports two methods: the bundled OneLogin SAML library for direct IdP connections or an external SimpleSAMLphp installation for more complex authentication scenarios. User Management: Can automatically create new user accounts upon successful SAML authentication, mapping attributes like email and username from the identity provider. This behavior is configurable. Flexible Configuration: Offers both a settings page for common options and a filter-based system for developers needing full control over all authentication parameters and behaviors. Multisite Support: Includes specific filters to control how auto-provisioned users are added to individual sites within a multisite network. Security: For SimpleSAMLphp, enforces version requirements to address known vulnerabilities and provides warnings for outdated installations.
