This plugin maps VOOT group membership to user roles, enabling role-based access control for websites. It is designed for administrators who need to manage user permissions through external group systems, using OAuth for authentication.

  • OAuth Integration: Depends on an external PHP OAuth client for secure authentication, supporting endpoints like SURFconext for token handling.
  • Configuration File: Uses a configurable INI file to set up OAuth client details, API endpoints, and role-to-group mappings without modifying core files.
  • Deprecated Status: Note that this plugin is deprecated, as its functionality is now available through the ssp-voot-groups module, which adds VOOT groups to SAML attributes for use with SAML modules.
