This plugin adds expiration date management to posts and custom post types, allowing site administrators to automatically handle content after a set date. • Post Expiration Actions: Define a specific action to occur when a post expires. You can set a Redirect (302 status) to a new URL or replace the post content with a custom Shortcode message.
• Granular Control: The expiration metabox is disabled by default and can be enabled per post, giving you precise control over which items have an expiration date. It works with both the Classic editor and the Gutenberg block editor.
• Flexible Shortcode System: Use the [expiration_message] shortcode to display custom text when content expires. The shortcode text can be defined globally in the plugin settings, overridden for individual posts, or wrapped in custom HTML for styling.
• Multi-Level Text Rewriting: Configure default expiration message text site-wide in the settings panel. This text can then be overridden by the content within a specific shortcode instance, allowing for both consistency and post-specific customization.
• Broad Post Type Support: The plugin can be configured to work with any public post type that supports custom fields, making it suitable for standard posts, pages, and custom content types created by other plugins or themes.
