This plugin provides a straightforward way to add column layout classes to widgets directly from the admin interface. It is designed for developers and site builders using themes with a grid system, particularly those based on the Genesis Framework's legacy Bootstrap classes, but it can be adapted for other frameworks.

Column Class Selection: A select box is added to each widget, allowing you to choose a column width class (like one-half or one-third) and optionally mark it as the first widget in a row.

Framework Flexibility: While built for Genesis, it works with any theme using similar column class structures. You can also use filters to define your own set of classes for a completely custom grid.

Developer Filters: Multiple filters offer control. The genesis_widget_column_classes filter lets you modify the available class options. The genesis_widget_column_classes_capability filter changes the user role required to edit these settings.

CSS Responsibility: The plugin only adds the HTML classes to the widget markup. You must provide the corresponding CSS rules in your theme to style the columns and create the actual layout.
