Customize Posts

This plugin extends the site customizer to allow editing of posts, pages, and their custom fields with a live preview. It is designed for site builders and content creators who need to see exactly how changes will appear across their site before making them public. The tool addresses common issues where changes to elements like featured images or page templates take effect immediately or cannot be previewed from the standard editor.

Post and Page Editing: Manage titles, content, excerpts, authors, and comment status directly within the customizer interface. Changes are previewed in real-time on the front end of the site.

Custom Field Support: Edit postmeta (custom fields) with a framework for registering and previewing different field types. This allows for structured content changes to be safely tested. Live Preview for Visual Elements: Preview changes to the featured image and selected page template. This prevents unexpected live updates that normally occur when these elements are modified. Integrated Workflow: Navigate from the standard post edit screen directly to a customizer preview of that post. Edit post links in the front-end preview can open the corresponding control panel. Status and Scheduling: Control post status, schedule future publications, or move items to trash, with all actions previewable before final saving.
