Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades

This plugin solves the WordPress limitation that prevents upgrading themes or plugins via zip file if a directory already exists. Instead of requiring manual deletion, it automatically handles upgrades and creates a backup of the old version.

• Automatic Upgrade Detection: No dropdown selection needed. Simply upload the zip file as if installing fresh; the plugin detects if an upgrade is required and processes it automatically.
• Backup Creation: Before upgrading, a backup copy of the old theme or plugin is saved to your media library. You can restore the previous version by downloading the backup file.
• Works for Both Themes and Plugins: Supports upgrading themes via Appearance > Themes and plugins via Plugins > Add New, using the standard upload process.
• Simple Activation: Install and activate the plugin; no configuration needed. It works silently in the background.
• No Manual Cleanup: The plugin handles removal of old files and directories, preventing the "destination already exists" error.

Note: Version 2.0.0 changed the interface. The dropdown for confirming upgrades is removed. The plugin now works automatically.
