Site Core

Site Core is a starter plugin designed for developers who build custom, site-specific plugins for ClassicPress and WordPress sites. It provides a structured foundation with reusable code, bundled tools, and a clear renaming process so you can quickly create a plugin tailored to a single site without unnecessary overhead.

• Bundled Advanced Custom Fields Pro: Includes a forked copy of ACF Pro version 5.9.6, the last release before the plugin was sold. Also includes ACF Extended Pro version 10.8.8.6, modified for developer settings.
• Base classes for common features: Pre-built classes let you register post types, taxonomies, widgets, shortcodes, admin pages, and ACF options pages. Starter files are provided for each class.
• Editor options for WordPress 5.0+: Set the block editor or classic editor as default, allow users to choose their preference, and let network administrators override defaults on multisite installations.
• User roles and capabilities: Supports multiple roles per user, custom avatar uploads, removal of the admin color scheme picker, and a developer role with a custom 'develop' capability.
• Configuration constants: Enable or disable native features like block widgets, Site Health, the links manager, or the bundled ACF plugin using constants in the config file.

The plugin includes detailed instructions for renaming every string—plugin name, namespace, text domain, admin page slug, and constants prefix—so you can rebrand it for any project. It is released without a license, free to use and modify.
