Configure your GrootMade account and manage your sites
Account Setup
Your GrootMade account is the hub for managing downloads, sites, and settings. This guide walks through initial setup and key configuration options.
Creating Your Account
Sign Up
Visit grootmade.com/auth/sign-up and create your account using email or social login.
Verify Email
Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.
Complete Profile
Add your name and optional profile photo. This helps if you become a community contributor.
Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard provides quick access to everything:

Managing Sites
Connect multiple WP sites to your account:
Add a Site
Go to My Sites → Add Site and enter your site URL.
Install Plugin
Follow the installation guide to add the connector plugin.
Enter API Key
Paste your API key in the plugin settings to complete the connection.

API Keys
API keys authenticate your sites with GrootMade.
Generating Keys
- Go to Settings → API Keys
- Click Generate New Key
- Give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Client Site - Acme Corp")
- Copy the key immediately — it won't be shown again
Key Management
- Revoke keys you no longer need
- Rotate keys periodically for security
- Use separate keys for each site for better tracking
Keep Keys Secret
Never share API keys publicly or commit them to version control. Treat them like passwords.
Notification Preferences
Control what emails you receive:

Two-Factor Authentication
Add an extra layer of security to your account:
Go to Settings → Security
Click Enable 2FA
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
Enter the verification code to confirm
