GrootMade

Auto-Updates

Keep your themes and plugins updated automatically

Auto-Updates

Never manually update a theme or plugin again. The GrootMade connector plugin handles everything automatically.

How It Works

When you install the GrootMade connector plugin:

  1. Check — The plugin checks for updates on your configured schedule
  2. Download — New versions are downloaded in the background
  3. Install — Updates are applied automatically
  4. Notify — You receive a summary of what was updated

Safe Updates

Updates run during low-traffic hours by default. The plugin creates a restore point before each update.

Configuration

Navigate to GrootMade → Auto-Updates in your WP admin.

Staging & Production

Best practices for managing updates across environments:

  1. Enable auto-updates on staging — Test updates before production
  2. Review on staging — Catch issues early
  3. Sync to production — Push tested versions to live sites

Agency Tip

Use the bulk management dashboard to control update settings across all client sites.
